Sergio Pessolano (1956), born in Rome
(Italy) started to take pictures at the age
of 14, going to Saint Peter's square once a
week on Sundays where a crowd of believers
gathers to receive the Pope's
blessing.
He met Papu in 1996 during his
honeymoon travel. His wife noticed that
beautiful girl, so he asked her to pose
for him. Later, when his publisher decided to make a book
about his travels in India, he just
chose Papu's portrait for the
cover.
